About
Allie serves clients from Fortune 500 companies to individuals in civil disputes. Her varied experience allows her to effectively advise and represent clients on issues unique to them. In her commercial practice, she represents professionals and businesses in contract and products liability claims. In her healthcare practice, she defends healthcare providers, particularly those in the skilled nursing and assisted living settings, against malpractice and premises liability claims.

Allie also represents employees and employers in employment disputes. Through her employment litigation practice, she has successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of clients in claims involving discrimination and retaliation. Outside of the courtroom, she has assisted employers with investigating misconduct, drafting employment policies, and conducting employee trainings.
Allie joined Smyth Whitley from a large firm where she had a multi-state and federal litigation practice. Allie received her J.D., with honors, from William & Mary Law School, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif and Order of the Barristers. At William & Mary, she served as the President of the National Trial Team and a coach for the undergraduate mock trial team. She was a decorated competitor, finishing in first place at four tournaments. Through Trial Team, Allie gained valuable oral advocacy skills that enable her to better serve her clients in the courtroom and other venues, such as mediations, arbitrations, and administrative hearings.

Allie lives in Berkeley County with her husband, Curtis, and two malti-poos, Gus and Lenny. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach and cheering for the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.
