About

A native of Berkeley County, Josh is currently serving his third term on the Berkeley County Council representing Daniel Island, Clements Ferry Road, and portions of Hanahan. On Council, he is the Chairman of the Finance Committee, where he has primary responsibility for the County’s Budgets and Economic Development efforts. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance’s Board of Directors.

He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate and current Trustee of Wofford College. He graduated from the William & Mary School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of Barristers and won national awards in advocacy. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Dennis W. Shedd of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Josh lives on Daniel Island with his wife Cowles, daughter Sara Cannon, identical twins Evans and Paul, and his beloved golden retrievers Lily and Luna (who love going to work and you can often find them in the office greeting clients and colleagues).
